Session Polls, Q&A & Feedback

Every session in EventHex includes built-in engagement tools — live polls, Q&A, and feedback. These tools work across four surfaces: the CMS (organizer), the event website (public pages), the mobile app, and Display Mode (venue screens).

Each session card shows three engagement buttons:

  4. Attendees vote through the mobile app or by scanning a QR code.
  5. Results update in real time with a donut chart visualization.
  6. Click End Poll to stop accepting votes.

The live poll display shows:

  • The question text
  • A donut chart with vote percentages per option
  • A QR code that attendees can scan to vote
  • Total vote count, updating every 3 seconds

Attendees can vote on polls through three channels:

  1. Public poll page (/poll/[pollId]) — a dedicated voting page accessible via QR code or direct link. See Live Polls — Attendee Experience for details.
  2. Mobile app — the Polls section within the Event App
  3. Event website — voting interface within session detail

After closing a poll, the analytics dashboard shows:

  • Total votes per option (count and percentage)
  • Response rate
  • Vote timeline (when votes came in)

Polls integrate with Display Mode — the Live Polls display shows animated bars with color-coded options and real-time results on venue screens. See Display Types for details.

  1. Click Questions on the session card.
  2. Attendees submit questions through the public Q&A page, mobile app, or event website.
  3. Questions appear in your Q&A management panel.
  4. Review, moderate, and select questions to address.

  2. Mobile app — Q&A section within session detail
