Session Polls, Q&A & Feedback
Every session in EventHex includes built-in engagement tools — live polls, Q&A, and feedback. These tools help speakers interact with their audience in real time and collect valuable insights.
Engagement Tools Overview
Section titled “Engagement Tools Overview”Each session card shows three engagement buttons:

Live Polls
Section titled “Live Polls”Create a Poll
Section titled “Create a Poll”- Go to Setup → Sessions.
- Click Polls on the session card (shows count of existing polls, e.g., “Polls (6)”).
- Click + Create Poll.
- Enter the poll question and multiple-choice options.
- Click Save.
Run a Live Poll
Section titled “Run a Live Poll”- Open the Polls popup for the session.
- Select the poll you want to run.
- Click Go Live — the poll is now active for audience voting.
- Attendees vote through the mobile app or by scanning a QR code.
- Results update in real time with a donut chart visualization.
- Click End Poll to stop accepting votes.
The live poll display shows:
- The question text
- A donut chart with vote percentages per option
- A QR code that attendees can scan to vote
- Total vote count, updating every 3 seconds
Poll Analytics
Section titled “Poll Analytics”After closing a poll, the analytics dashboard shows:
- Total votes per option (count and percentage)
- Response rate
- Vote timeline (when votes came in)
Q&A (Questions)
Section titled “Q&A (Questions)”How It Works
Section titled “How It Works”- Click Questions on the session card.
- Attendees submit questions through the mobile app or event website.
- Questions appear in your Q&A management panel.
- Review, moderate, and select questions to address.
Q&A Features
Section titled “Q&A Features”| Feature | Description |

| Moderation | Review questions before they appear publicly |
| Spotlight | Display a selected question in fullscreen for the audience |
| Mark as Answered | Track which questions have been addressed |
| Upvoting | Attendees can upvote questions, helping surface popular ones |
Spotlight Mode
Section titled “Spotlight Mode”Click Spotlight on any question to display it in fullscreen — ideal for projecting on venue screens so the speaker and audience can see the question being addressed.
Feedback
Section titled “Feedback”Collecting Feedback
Section titled “Collecting Feedback”After a session ends, attendees can rate it with a 5-star rating:

Viewing Feedback
Section titled “Viewing Feedback”- Click Feedback on the session card.
- The popup shows:
- Average rating for the session
- Individual feedback entries with star ratings and user info
- Sorting options (newest first, oldest first)
Each feedback entry shows the attendee’s avatar and their rating, making it easy to review session performance.
Display Mode Integration
Section titled “Display Mode Integration”All three engagement tools integrate with Display Mode for venue screens:
- Polls: show live voting on large screens
- Q&A: display spotlight questions on projectors
- Feedback: show aggregate ratings during or after sessions

Engagement on the Mobile App
Section titled “Engagement on the Mobile App”Attendees interact with these tools through the EventHex Mobile App:
- View the session agenda
- Tap into a session to see active polls, Q&A, and feedback options
- Vote on polls, submit questions, and leave star ratings
- All from their phone — no additional app needed
