Managing Currency Settings

EventHex supports multiple currencies so you can price tickets in your attendees’ local currency. Configure currencies at the organization level and assign them per event.

  1. Go to Setup → Event Info for your event.
  2. Find the Currency field.
  3. Select the currency from the dropdown (e.g., USD, INR, EUR, GBP, AED).
  4. Click Save.

The selected currency applies to all ticket prices, order totals, and invoice amounts for that event.

If you run events in different currencies, your revenue reports show totals grouped by currency. For example:

  • Total Ticket Revenue: INR 480.00 + USD 240.00

Each order retains its original currency. EventHex does not convert between currencies — the amount shown is exactly what was charged.

Organization administrators can manage the list of available currencies:

  1. Go to Organization Settings → Currencies.
  2. View the list of available currencies.
  3. Click + Currency to add a new one:
    • Title — display name (e.g., “US Dollar”, “Indian Rupee”)
    • Short Name — ISO code (e.g., “USD”, “INR”)
    • Logo/Symbol — currency symbol (e.g., ”$”, ”₹”)
  4. Click Save.

Your payment gateway must support the currency you select for your event:

GatewayCommon Currencies
RazorpayINR (primary), USD, EUR, GBP, and 100+ international currencies
StripeUSD, EUR, GBP, AUD, CAD, and 135+ currencies
OfflineAny currency (manual verification)

Free tickets (price = $0) don’t require a payment gateway and work with any currency setting. The checkout page shows the free label configured in your Global Ticket Settings instead of a price.

  • Match your audience — use the currency your attendees are most familiar with
  • One currency per event — avoid confusion by keeping all tickets in the same currency
  • Test before launch — make a test purchase to verify the currency displays correctly on the checkout page and in confirmation emails
  • Check gateway fees — payment gateways may charge different processing fees for different currencies or cross-border transactions
