Push Notifications & Updates
Push updates keep attendees informed in real-time — session changes, venue announcements, networking alerts, and event highlights delivered directly to their phones.
How Updates Work
Section titled “How Updates Work”Updates are cards that appear in the app’s notification/updates section. Each update includes a title, description, and optional image.
Create an Update
Section titled “Create an Update”- Go to Attendee Mobile App → Updates.
- Click + Add Update.
- Fill in:
- Title — headline for the update (e.g., “Keynote Moved to Hall B”)
- Description — detailed message

Best Practices
Section titled “Best Practices”- Keep it short — updates should be scannable in 3 seconds. Title + one sentence is ideal. Use email campaigns for detailed content.
- Use images sparingly — include images only when they add value (map showing new venue location, photo of the speaker). Don’t attach images to every update.
- Don’t over-notify — 3-5 updates per event day is reasonable. More than that and attendees will mute notifications.
- Time it right — send schedule changes as soon as they’re confirmed. Send session reminders 15 minutes before start time.
- Coordinate channels — for critical changes (venue moved, session cancelled), send the update via all channels: app notification + email + WhatsApp. For minor announcements (coffee break location), app-only is fine.
