Position & Milestone-Based Rewards

Rewards give attendees something to compete for. Set up prizes for top leaderboard positions (1st, 2nd, 3rd place) and milestone rewards that anyone can earn by reaching a point threshold.

Go to Gamification → Rewards.

The rewards page has two tabs: Position Based and Milestone Based.

Position rewards go to the attendees who finish at the top of the leaderboard.

  1. Click the Position Based tab.
  2. You’ll see cards for top positions (1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc.).
  3. For each position, fill in:
    • Prize Name — what the winner receives (e.g., “iPad Pro”, “Free Conference Pass 2026”)
    • Prize Value — monetary value or description
    • Prize Description — additional details about the prize
  4. Click Save.

Position rewards are displayed as cards in a triple-column layout, making it easy to compare prizes across positions.

2nd PlaceAirPods Max$549
3rd Place$200 Amazon Gift Card$200

Milestone rewards are earned by any attendee who reaches a specific point threshold. Unlike position rewards, multiple attendees can earn the same milestone.

  1. Click the Milestone Based tab.
  2. Click + Add Milestone.
  3. Fill in:
    • Points Required — how many points needed to earn this reward (e.g., 100, 250, 500)
    • Reward Name — what the attendee receives
    • Reward Description — details about the reward
    • Coupon Code — a discount code or redemption code
    • Reward Value — monetary value
    • Send Notification — toggle to auto-notify attendees when they reach this milestone
  4. Click Save.

  • The notification includes the reward name and coupon code
  • Attendees can redeem the coupon at the registration desk, event store, or online

The best gamification setups use both:

  • Milestone rewards keep everyone else engaged

  • Announce prizes prominently — display reward details on screens, in the app, and in welcome emails. Attendees need to know what they’re competing for.
  • Start small, end big — milestone rewards should get progressively more valuable. T-shirt at 100 points, gift card at 250, VIP upgrade at 500.
  • Use coupon codes — for digital rewards, coupon codes are easy to distribute and track. Include them in the milestone notification.
  • Photograph the prize ceremony — when you announce position winners on stage, take photos. Share on social media with the event hashtag.
  • Verify before announcing — with manual approval enabled, review the final leaderboard before declaring winners. Check that challenge completions are legitimate.
  • Thank all participants — even attendees who didn’t win should feel valued. Consider a small thank-you for everyone who participated (e.g., “All gamification participants get 10% off next event”).
